K-BBQ, East Colonial

I tried this AYCE Korean restaurant near 436 yesterday at dinner. It was some bar before this. Open for four years. No Tuesday. Opens at 3pm. It has one of those generic/unimaginative names that Koreans seem to adore. Everything is K something. I am pretty sure it is a one off though. I'm unsure how much the AYCE is. It was a for two minimum, so, I didn't qualify. They do have an ala carte menu as well. I chose a bibimbap in a stone hot pot for $15. Fairly good value. Not a ton of beef. It wasn't gristly. One egg. Some veg. They also gave me six bonchon (tofu, kim chi, cucumber, broccoli with leaves, fish cake and bean sprouts). There is a "salad bar" where they store the non-meats for the AYCE-ers. It was a little gross that they supplied the bonchon (and to go orders) from there as well. The menu has the usual suspects. The place is very run down. A little sticky. Some tvs. Thirteen tables in the front area and eight in the rear. A bar. A little decor. Black and white. Two other tables were there at dinner. Parking is sufficient. One server. This was a back up for my back ups. The no lunch policy didn't help. I only knocked it out because I was coming back from the airport on a Wednesday and I had to get it off my list once and for all. Still, it was better than I expected.

*The real reason I was in the area was to knock Sparrow off the list. Parking is just too unwelcoming over there. I think I may never try again. I did see some beer bar on the corner just past it that I don't think anyone has brought up.
